Content of the modules
I offer the following modules of AYM UK in Haarlem:
Module 1: Introduction (online course of about 4 hours)
Module 2: Working on the neck and top of the shoulders, warming up the back, head and face massage
Module 3: Deeper work on the back, deeper work on the neck
Module 4: Posterior and lateral sides of the legs
Module 5: Front of the body massage, thinking about tailored treatment plans
Module 3, 4 en 5 can be taken as a separate training providing you have completed modules 1 and 2.

What is Ayurvedic Yoga Massage?
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage sessions are wonderful to receive, and can be adjusted to feel relaxing, soothing, therapeutic, energising. AYM also feels like a blissful meditation/gentle yoga practice to give. Both giving and receiving will also help you understand bodies so much better, including your own!
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a powerful technique developed by Master Kusum Modak in Pune, India, based on traditional ayurvedic massage and Iyengar yoga.
This client wanted some deeper work on his erector spinae, lumbar, shoulders and abductors. He did not want an overly relaxing session, as he wanted to stay energised afterwards. This video shows some of the deeper work.
This video shows another combination of the deep-tissue massage and stretches. You can see more massage of the back, shoulders and neck. Next come mobilisaties en stretches. This gives deep relaxation aswel as space and opening in the body.
Unique about AYM is also the use of the feet for massage. This provides more pressure but spread over a larger surface.
